Which Vehicles Do We Test?

Content: We carry out MOT tests on the following vehicle classes at our Chester test centre:

Class 4 MOTs — cars, taxis and light vans up to 8 passenger seats. This covers the vast majority of everyday vehicles on the road.

Class 5 MOTs — private passenger vehicles with more than 8 seats, including minibuses.

Class 7 MOTs — goods vehicles with a gross vehicle weight between 3,000kg and 3,500kg, including long wheelbase vans and larger commercial vehicles.
